WHAT’S GRIEF?

Logline:

A drama-filled narrative based on a true story. John heavily goes through the five stages of grief — and he only knows one way to fully handle it: to let go and be.

Synopsis:

John — a writer — goes through fluctuant motions in his life while battling a huge loss.
In order to persevere through each stage of grief, he must mentally and physically fight the pain. Only then will he accept that life must continue as is.

John has his guard up and is reactive; he has no interest in opening up to anyone, except to one person: Meli, his younger sister, who he blindly trusts. He is a family man who loves unconditionally.

During an open-mic event, he’s finally able to drop his shield and fully express all he needs to say on the stage. Unbeknownst to John, there is a scheme for his demise; an act of brutal betrayal.
Will he be able to accept what is and carry on?
