Logline:

After a failed attempt to connect with his son, Andrés confronts an entity that feeds from his loneliness.

Synopsis:

Andres an elderly man, looks at a postcard from his son, Andres calls him seeking to reconnect with him, with no response. As Andres looks at the postcard, a strange shadow enters through the door of his house and hovers over him.

During the night, Andres chases strange, disturbing sounds that lead him to photos of his family. There he sees a birthday photo; his final happy memory. The sounds torment him until he comes across a photo of himself, his wife, and his son, where a stain spreads throughout the picture.

Andres discovers that the sounds he hears are those of a Vejigante, seeking to take his tormented soul. The Vejigante consumes Andres, who surrenders to his fate. Neighbors and the police enter the house and find Andres’s decomposed body, still in the chair where he saw the postcard.
