Logline:

In western Puerto Rico, two students from impoverished communities speak of the uncertain path of university admission—one graduated, the other still waiting—as their stories, interwoven with voices from an educational justice program, reveal how class shapes access to the University of Puerto Rico and higher education across the island.

Synopsis:

This short documentary follows two students from impoverished communities in municipalities in western Puerto Rico, each with different experiences with the university admission process—one graduated, the other waiting to be admitted to UPR. Combining brief interviews with the students and a director of an educational justice program at the University of Puerto Rico, this film explores and exposes the many ways in which class dynamics affect university access in the western part of the island and throughout Puerto Rico.
