Synopsis:
Nature Boy tells the story of the filmmaker’s maternal grandparents, Ruperto and Emilia, who emigrated to New York from Puerto Rico in 1927 and raised a family of six daughters on Prospect Avenue in the Bronx. Conversations with two of the daughters, now in their 70s and 80s, recount the nurturing of their mother and aunt, the struggles they faced during the depression, and the community driven activism of their father.
