Hasta en la Luz (Even in the Light)

Logline

Haunted by invisible terrors, a young Mexican child battles sleepwalking episodes and escalating trauma, forcing her fractured family to confront the darkness lurking inside their home—and themselves.

Synopsis:

Even in the Light (Hasta en la Luz) is a poetic and visceral psychological drama that follows Sofia, a tender and imaginative child navigating a fractured home filled with silence, secrets, and shadows. As Sofia’s night terrors intensify, her reality begins to unravel—manifesting as surreal episodes, dissociation, and moments of eerie stillness that adults around her can’t—or won’t—fully see. The real monster, however, is closer than anyone dares admit. As Sofia’s world narrows, the line between dream and waking life blurs in a hauntingly lyrical portrayal of childhood trauma, resilience, and the quiet violence that hides in plain sight. Set in Mexico and told through a deeply empathetic lens, this film is a timely, urgent meditation on belief, protection, and the unspoken truths children carry until someone finally listens.
