In Hoboken, 1982, investigative reporter Delia Delgado begins connecting a series of devastating tenement fires targeting the city’s Puerto Rican community, uncovering evidence that the destruction is anything but accidental. History remembers the Bronx burning, yet just across the Hudson River another city was consumed by flames. As Delia’s reporting exposes “gentrification by fire,” she is met with censorship, bribes, and intimidation meant to silence her.
