ALVARADO is a documentary that tells the story of how a family has maintained a family gathering that has become a community tradition for more than 4 decades, and the challenge of maintaining its permanence when musical views of several generations converge.

Synopsis:

Just like it has for the past 41 uninterrupted years, the Alvarado family celebrates its traditional Fiesta de Reyes or Three Kings Day Party in the town of Orocovis. With music as the protagonist, from the founders first meetings in the early ’70s, they promised not only to bring together the different strains of the family that January 6, but to create an activity that could transcend the community and the town. Over the years, the purchase of a piece of land, the construction of the Los Alvarado Cultural Center and the hundreds of parrandas and musicians from everywhere who have gathered there; the family faces the challenge of continuing this community musical project and opening the way for the views and proposals of the new generations.
