Synopsis:

Young Carmencita travels to New York City for the opportunity of a lifetime: an open casting call for the lead role in her favorite Broadway musical. Staying with Iris, a former performer who once dreamed of playing the same role, Carmencita rehearses obsessively, determined to deliver the perfect audition. Before sending her off, Iris reminds her to trust her talent, remember where she comes from, and remain alert in the unfamiliar city.

Filled with nerves and excitement, Carmencita boards the train to Manhattan, believing it will carry her toward her dreams. Along the way, she meets a charming young man who seems to have stepped directly out of the musical. But as their seemingly romantic encounter takes an unsettling turn, Carmencita is forced to confront the dangers and sacrifices that can accompany the pursuit of a dream.
